Two pedestrians fight for life in Lakemba crash, Sydney’s southwest

Dramatic CCTV captured the horrific moment they were crossing with other pedestrians when they were hit.

A man and a woman are fighting for their lives after they were struck by a car in Sydney's Lakemba.

Two pedestrians are fighting for their lives after they were struck by a car in Sydney’s southwest.

Emergency services were called to The Boulevarde in Lakemba about 1pm on Tuesday following reports of the crash. 

CCTV footage appears to show a white people mover striking the two pedestrians before crashing into two cars on the opposite side of the road.

A woman, believed to be in her 30s, was treated at the scene before being taken to Liverpool Hospital in a critical condition.

A man, believed to be in his 60s, was also taken to hospital in a critical condition, arriving at St George Hospital.

The driver, an 82-year-old man, was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital for mandatory testing and further assessment.

A crime scene has been established as police investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
