Wetherill Park: Man rushed to hospital with serious leg injuries after explosion at western Sydney business

A man has been seriously injured after a massive explosion at a business in Sydney’s western suburbs.

Emergency services rushed to the scene at Wetherill Park just after 10.30am on Monday where a man was treated on scene for serious leg injuries.

Police units and multiple ambulance crews arrived at find a business on Cowpasture Rd alight after reports of an explosion and fire.

A NSW Ambulance spokesperson confirmed that paramedics had taken a man in his 30s to Liverpool Hospital for further treatment.

NSW Police confirmed the explosion, fire and injuries to the man are being treated as a workplace incident and they will not be investigating.

SafeWork NSW have been contacted for comment.
