White Cliffs: Emergency services confirm pilot killed in light plane crash at rural airstrip

All available emergency services have scrambled to the scene of an airplane crash at a rural airstrip with at least one fatality confirmed.
Fire rescue and police responded to the scene of fatal aircraft crash in the north west of NSW on Tuesday morning.
At about 7.15am alert calls were made with reports of an aircraft crash at an airstrip on White Cliffs Aerodrome Road, White Cliffs, which is around 260km north-east of Broken Hill.

Police said their investigations indicate the man was the sole occupant of the aircraft.
The crash site has been secured and established a a crime secured a crime scene, and with the assistance from the Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB), have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
