A man has died when he was struck by a car in Melbourne’s west on Friday.

It’s believed a Honda Accord hit the pedestrian near the intersection of Black Forest Rd and Brimpton Gr, Wyndham Vale about 5am.

Police were told the man was laying on the road when he was hit.

He died at the scene, and is yet to be formally identified.

The driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene and is helping police with their investigation.

“The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be determined,” police said.

“The investigations remain ongoing.”
