Pimpama: A 19-year-old man is fighting for his life and four others are injured after an early morning crash

A serious single-vehicle crash in Pimpama early on Sunday has left multiple people injured, with one passenger in critical condition.

The crash occurred just before 1am when a Holden Commodore travelling west along William Boulevard mounted a roundabout and collided with a retaining wall.

Emergency services responded promptly to the scene.

A 19-year-old male passenger from Pimpama was critically injured and transported to Gold Coast University Hospital.

A 20-year-old female passenger from Western Australia sustained suspected spinal injuries and was also taken to the same hospital.

The driver, an 18-year-old male from Coomera, is currently assisting police with their investigation while undergoing assessment at the hospital.

Additionally, two other passengers, an 18-year-old female from Ormeau and a 19-year-old male from Coomera, were assessed at the scene by paramedics.

Police are urging witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage of the vehicle to come forward as investigations continue.

The forensic crash unit is currently investigating the incident.
