Human remains found in search for missing Victorian teenager Isla Bell

Two men have been charged.

Police have confirmed remains located in the search for a missing Victorian teenager were found at a waste management facility in Melbourne’s southeast.

Isla Bell, 19, was last seen leaving her Brunswick home, in Melbourne’s inner city, about 6pm on October 4.

The remains were located at the waste management facility in Dandenong on Tuesday, more than a month after Bell went missing.

“Detectives from the Missing Persons Squad have located what are believed to be human remains as part of their investigation into (Bell’s) suspicious disappearance,” Victoria Police said.

Three men were also arrested by police on Tuesday, following the execution of search warrants at two properties in Bentleigh East and Mulgrave.

One of the men, a 53-year-old from St Kilda, has been charged with murder.

A 57-year-old man from Hampton has been charged with assisting an offender (murder).

A 63-year-old man from Mulgrave was released, pending further inquiries.
