Woman fighting for life and two young kids among the five injured in Sunshine Coast crash

Five people were hospitalised after a two-vehicle a crash at the intersection on Mons Rd and Mons School Rd in Mons, a rural area of the Sunshine Coast Region in Queensland, about 6.30pm on Friday.

Among them was a woman in her 60’s who sustained critical head injuries and was taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital fighting for life.

Two primary school aged children, a boy and a girl, were also injured in the crash, Queensland Ambulance paramedics said.

They both sustained neck and abdominal injuries and were taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in stable conditions.

A woman in her 20s also sustained arm and abdominal injuries, and another man, whose age is unknown, sustained minor injuries — they were both taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital

Queensland Police are investigating the crash and urge anyone with relevant information to contact Crime Stoppers.
