Half of all Aussie adults were expected to buy a ticket in tonight’s $100m Powerball draw but there is only one lucky Australian taking home the entire prize.

One ticket-holder from NSW has scooped the whopping division one prize, with six other Aussies taking home $282,415.55 in division two.

The winner of the division one prize now shares the title as Australia’s third biggest lottery winner. They join a Queensland woman who took home half of the record-breaking $200 million Powerball draw in February 2024. She is part of an exclusive group of six Australians who know what it’s like to win a Powerball prize of $100 million or more.

The winning numbers in tonight’s draw were 28, 10, 3, 16, 31, 14, 21 and the Powerball was 6.

They truly were lucky, with the odds of winning division one 134,490,400 to 1, according to The Lott.

The Lott spokesperson Matt Hart said staff will contact any registered division one winner tonight.

“So, take your mobile off silent and if you see a call from an 07 number shortly after 8.30pm, pick it up!” Hart said.

“It could be me with some great news.”

However, this is dependent on ticket holders registering their in-store or online entries with The Lott Members Club, and having their contact details up to date.

Whether you bought your ticket online or in-store, you’ll receive your winnings two weeks after the draw.

If your ticket is registered with The Lott, your prize will be sent straight into your online account.

If you purchased your ticket in-store, you need to return to the store and return your ticket to claim your prize.

Next week’s Powerball prize is $4 million.
