The winner could have ‘jumped on a flight’ after purchasing their ticket.

One Australian is $100 million richer after winning the Powerball jackpot on Thursday night, though they don’t know it yet.

The mystery winner has become the third biggest prize winner in Australian lotto history.

It was estimated that half of all Australians purchased a ticket in hopes of winning the eye-watering prize, which skyrocketed to $100 million after there were no division one winners last week.

The winning numbers for the draw are 16, 24, 11, 4, 10, 18, and 23. The Powerball number is 6.

Matt Hart from The Lott confirmed on Friday morning: “The winner has not called in yet.”

“We haven’t heard from them yet, so we think they don’t know they’ve won.”

“We know it was sold in-store, not online. It was sold from an outlet.

“We know it isn’t registered and was not part of a syndicate. It was a single ticket.

“I might start door-knocking soon and try to find the winner,” Mr. Hart said.

The Lott also confirmed the winning ticket was sold in Queensland but the winner may be in another state.

“Someone could have bought the ticket as they were passing through and then jumped on a flight.

The Lott has not yet released the name of the outlet or the exact location of where the winning ticket was sold.

“Because it’s such a big prize, there is a process.”

“We want to give them time to come forward privately after they realise they’ve won.

“If not, we will release the store information tomorrow and try to help them realise.”

“A good thing is that in Queensland, winners have seven years to claim their prize.

“We don’t want to wait that long, and surely the winner would like their money sooner than that too.”

“The net is cast wide. So please, check your tickets!”
