A boy has been impaled through the neck with a meat hook during a drive on a rural Queensland property.

The boy had been in a ute with his father at the private address in the Western Downs region on Sunday.

It’s believed the car hit a bump, causing the boy’s neck to catch on one of the meat hook spikes and penetrate his skin.
