It is understood that a woman has been injured in a multi-vehicle crash involving an ADF truck in Ferny Hills, Brisbane.

The incident happened on Samford Road, which is now closed in both directions near the intersection with Baden Lane.

A Queensland police spokesperson said emergency services were called to the scene at around 3.25pm after reports a truck had struck a car.

The Queensland ambulance service confirmed that the woman driving the car sustained minor chest injuries and a head laceration.

She is in a stable condition and was taken to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.

Police and the ambulance service said the truck drivers did not sustain any physical injuries.

“Samford Road in Ferny Hills is currently closed in both directions near to the intersection with Baden Lane. Motorists are advised to avoid the area,” a Queensland police spokesperson said.

A department of defence spokesperson has confirmed that no injuries were sustained by any ADF personnel.

This comes just a week after 26-year-old Australian soldier Tulsa Rumney died in an army training accident.

Mr Rumney suffered serious injuries in an army truck rollover on October 15 and was unable to be saved.

It is understood the accident, which also injured two other soldiers, occurred in the High Range Training Area in Hervey Range just 50km from Townsville.

The other two soldiers were taken to Townsville University Hospital in stable conditions.

More to come.
