Paramedics assessed the patient with life-threatening injuries while the second patient, a man in his 30s, was airlifted to the hospital in a stable condition with chest and abdominal injuries.

The third individual, a man in his 20s, suffered back injuries and was transported to the hospital by road.

The two with the less serious injuries were treated at Townsville University Hospital and have since been discharged, while one person is in a critical condition.
