Cannon Hill, Brisbane: Elderly man struck by ute in fatal Bunnings carpark incident as police investigate

An elderly man has died after a collision in a Bunnings car park in Brisbane.

Emergency crews were called to the Cannon Hill Bunnings about 10am on Saturday after reports an 82-year-old man had been hit by a grey Mitsubishi Triton, Queensland Police said.

The Morningside man suffered critical injuries and was taken to the hospital, where he later died.

The 24-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi was uninjured.

Police say investigations remain underway, with no charges laid at this stage.
