Young boy dies in Beenleigh Police Station in Queensland following crash nearby

A toddler has died after a woman rushed him to a Queensland police station following a car accident in the early hours of the morning.
Paramedics were called to Beenleigh Police Station after reports of a single car crash about 5.10am on Saturday.
Police said a person who witnessed the crash reportedly drove a 22-year-old woman and a three-year-old boy to the closest police station.

By continuing you agree to our Terms and Privacy Policy.However, a short time later the boy became unresponsive in the foyer of the Police Station with officers performing CPR.
He could not be saved and was declared dead at the scene, and the police station closed off as a crime scene.
A 24-year-old Beenleigh man, believed to have also been in the car at the time of the crash, had left the scene with another child prior to police arrival.
The man and a one-year-old boy were located by police at an address in Beenleigh around 6.30am.
The boy was taken to hospital for treatment.
Police said the man is currently assisting them with inquiries.
“There is no threat to the community,” police said.
“Multiple crime scenes have been established as investigations are ongoing.”
Beenleigh Police Station has since been re-opened.
Police said the incident is complex, and they are still ascertaining exactly what has occurred.
