A mother accused of stabbing to death her three-year-old was active on social media right up until the hours before her daughter’s death.

Lauren Ingrid Flanigan, 32, has been charged with murder after her child was found with multiple injuries about 5pm on Monday.

The three-year-old was stabbed multiple times on the front lawn of their Moore Park Beach home as alarmed neighbours called triple-0, the Courier Mail reports.

Police have confirmed two other children, aged one and two, present at the home during the alleged attack, were not injured. It is understood the girl’s father was working away when the horrific attack unfolded but has now returned and is with the children.

At a press conference on Tuesday, police said a blade had been recovered from the scene and the home was now being forensically examined.

Detectives have described the child’s death as a “horrendous tragedy”.

“It was a horrific scene,” Acting Superintendent Brad Inskip said.

“It’s a terrible terrible incident for everybody, including the witnesses and neighbors, including the emergency services, police and ambulance who attended and the investigators who are dealing with the ongoing investigation.

“This is not something that that we ever want to attend and want our people to have to deal with but we are as a service providing welfare to our officers as I imagine would the QAS.”

Ms Flanigan’s case was mentioned in Bundaberg Magistrates Court on Tuesday but she was not required to appear.

Hours before the alleged murder, Ms Flanigan was posting on her Instagram page about staying strong, being a “warrior of light” and advocating for victims of domestic violence.

Alongside one chilling post shared two days before the alleged murder, she wrote: “You are ROYALTY. You are CHOSEN. You are HOLY. You are a WARRIOR OF LIGHT.”

She continued: “This is Kingdom Rising. We move. We build. We burn with holy fire. No more delays. No more compromise. Tag your generals. It’s time to RISE.”

She also posted another video, this time of a woman covered in bruises and with a bloodied eye with the words “remember your pain it fuels your purpose”.

Ms Flanigan had also previously shared posts about her children. One from last year featuring what looked to be professional photos of her children was accompanied by the caption ”my divine babies”.

Years earlier, with a photo of her while pregnant, she wrote about how she couldn’t “wait to hold you in my arms”.

In other posts she counted down the weeks before the baby was born with captions including “16 weeks pregnant and totally loving becoming your mama my sweet girl”
