Police said after an initial investigation, a 52-year-old man was located at an address on Hackman St in McDowall.
He is currently assisting police.
Assistant Commissioner Rhys Wildman said the man had been arrested for evidence gathering purposes and has not yet been charged.

Wildman said the scene had been “traumatic” for first responders.
“I think any scene where there’s violence involved is traumatic for all involved, including first responders, police and ambulance,” he said.
“Whilst trained and responding to events such as this right across the state on a daily basis, it’s still very confronting and a difficult scene for them to manage.
“We’ll be providing support services for those frontline officers who attended.”
Luke, a nurse with over 25-years experience, is understood to have worked at doctors surgery at Wavell Heights.
Her work profile describes her as an experienced nurse who is “passionate about excellent nursing care and loves getting to know all her patients from birth up to when they are grown” as well as “being able to provide supporting and patient centred care to people at every stage of their journey”.
Neighbours who spoke to 7NEWS and said Luke was will be remembered as a “kind and “caring” woman.
Crime scenes have been established at both the Taigum and McDowall addresses, with police appealing for anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious around Osprey Pl overnight, or may have relevant CCTV footage, to come forward.
Investigations are ongoing.
