Man charged with murder, torture after baby boy’s death in Bundaberg, Queensland

Police have revealed a shocking update more than two years after the death of a baby boy.

A man has been charged with murder and torture more than two years after the death of a baby boy in regional Queensland.

Police say the baby was taken to Bundaberg Hospital before being flown to the Queensland Children’s Hospital on February 24, 2024.

The baby boy died in hospital little more than a week later on March 3, 2024.

A 22-year-old man from Kalkie, a suburb of Bundaberg, has now been charged with murder (domestic violence) and torture (domestic violence), police say.

He is due to appear in Bundaberg Magistrates Court on Monday.

Investigations are ongoing.
