A man has died in hospital, 12 days after a devastating Boxing Day house fire in Queensland’s north.

Emergency services were called to the blaze at a home on Mooney St in Gulliver, Townsville, about 3am on December 26, where an 83-year-old man and a 53-year-old woman were found in critical conditions.

The pair were rushed to hospital, however, police confirmed on Tuesday the man had died from his injuries, less than two weeks after the blaze.
