Man fighting for life, girl and woman seriously injured in Plainland crash west of Ipswich

A child has been seriously injured, and a man is fighting for his life after a serious crash west of Brisbane.

Three people were injured in the two-car crash on the corner of Laidley Plainland Rd and Fernrow Dr at Plainland about 3pm on Monday.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson said a man in his 40s was airlifted to the Princess Alexandria Hospital with life-threatening injuries to his chest, pelvis and head.

A pre-teen girl was also seriously injured and taken to the Queensland Children’s Hospital with serious facial and knee injuries.

The third person, a woman in her 30s, with a pelvic injury was taken to Ipswich Hospital.

The roads have since been reopened, however motorists have been advised to proceed with caution.
