A 36-year-old man is fighting for life after being shot in the chest in Logan, in Queensland’s southeast, about 10.10pm on Saturday.

He was allegedly shot by a gunman who then fled from the Saverin Rd property at Eagleby before Queensland Police arrived.

The victim made his own way to Logan Hospital, paramedics were informed upon arrival at the scene.

The 36-year-old man was then transferred to Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition.

A man was later arrested at an Eagleby address on Sunday night, but no charges have been laid yet in relation to the matter.

Investigations are ongoing, and anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage in the area at the time of the alleged shooting is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
