Miami: Man fights off carjacker after being shot in the leg on the Gold Coast
A man has reportedly fought off his attacker after being shot in an attempted carjacking on the Gold Coast.
Police are investigating after a 26-year-old man sustained a leg wound after a firearm was discharged in Miami on Thursday night.
Shortly after 6pm, emergency services were called to a Sunshine Parade location where a man was located with a gunshot to his left leg.

Initial investigations indicate the offender allegedly demanded the keys to the man’s car before he allegedly shot him and left the scene.
The injured man drove away from the scene and was located in Sunshine Parade.
Anyone with further information or relevant vision along Mountain View Avenue or Christine Avenue and the immediate surrounding area between 5.45 and 6.15pm is urged to contact police.
