Murgon: Police seek witness as search for missing man Jack McLennan continues on Darling Downs

Police have released new footage in the search for 27-year-old man Jack McLeannan as search and rescue operations enter their sixth day.

Police are seeking witnesses to the whereabouts of missing Sunshine Coast man Jack McLennan, particularly a person who camped overnight in the Ficks Crossing area of the Darling Downs, to come forward.

It is believed this person was travelling in a dark-coloured vehicle with a rooftop tent and may know the whereabouts of Mr McLennan who has been missing for nearly two weeks.

The SES, police and residents continue a desperate search for Mr McLennan, with authorities discovering a pair of shoes and a hat on the Darling Downs in Queensland.

Police continue to coordinate the search near Murgon for the missing 27-year-old who has not been seen or heard from since between 8pm and 10pm on Friday, October 4.

The hat and pair of shoes believed to be owned by Jack, were located near Ficks Crossing and McAlister and McLucas Streets, Murgon.

Police dive squad, police dogs, SES volunteers, and other specialised teams are continuing to search the area west of Murgon.

Jack is described as Caucasian in appearance, approximately 185cm tall with light brown hair, and brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and dark shorts.

Anyone with information about Jack’s whereabouts is urged to immediately contact police with nearby residents, especially west of Murgon, urged to check their properties, including any outbuildings and sheds, for signs of Jack.
