Police are searching for an alleged car thief after a serious hit and run incident
A pedestrian has been taken out by a stolen car which smashed into him and the driver left the scene.
Police are appealing for witnesses following the hit-and-run between the alleged stolen vehicle and a pedestrian in Nerang yesterday.
Initial investigations indicate just after 5.30pm, a white Ford Ranger was reversing out of a carpark on Wundowie Street when it struck a 51-year-old man.

Paramedics transported the injured man to the Gold Coast University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The vehicle is believed to have been stolen from Reedy Creek on Saturday, June 15.
Investigators are appealing for witnesses, especially those with dashcam vision of the incident or the moments leading up to it to come forward.
