Queensland man charged with murder after alleged street stabbing sparks police chase and carjacking

A 36-year-old man has been charged with murder after allegedly stabbing another man in the middle of a suburban street last week.
Police and ambulance were called to Maida St in Lammermoor near Yeppoon on August 22, just after 7am after reports of a 27-year-old Cody Muir, who had suffered life-threatening injuries.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

By continuing you agree to our Terms and Privacy Policy.It was later revealed that the two had an altercation and the 27-year-old was then stabbed, leading police on a car chase of the alleged offender and a woman in a white Holden.
The ute crashed on Golflinks Rd at Hamilton Creek, prompting the pair to abandon the vehicle and allegedly threaten a woman in a Hyundai Santa Fe, stealing the car.
Police intercepted the car along Benaraby Rd in Gladstone before the couple was arrested and taken into custody.
The man charged is set to appear in the Rockhampton Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
