Security incident at Gold Coast Airport leads to delays
An incident at Gold Coast Airport has sparked a security response, resulting in delays, as passengers were required to be rescreened.
A Gold Coast Airport spokesperson said the isolated incident involved the screening process of a single passenger, which caused the security protocol to be activated on Wednesday morning.
As a result, a plane load of passengers were taken off what is believed to be a Sydney-bound flight and rescreened.
