Slacks Creek, Brisbane: Car in flames on M1 set to cause major delays for peak hour commute

Morning peak-hour traffic has been thrown into chaos after a vehicle burst into flames at Slacks Creek, Brisbane.

Emergency services were called to the northbound on-ramp of the Pacific Motorway just after 7.15am on Wednesday, where they found the car fully alight.

Three fire crews battled the blaze for more than 40 minutes, bringing it under control at 7.51am. Two crews remain on site.

Motorists are being warned to expect significant delays through the area.
