Surfers Paradise: Police charge 17yo and 16yo teens after two men stabbed at popular tourist destination

Two teenagers have been arrested and charged after two men were attacked and stabbed in the stomach in Surfers Paradise.

Police charged the two boys following the alleged wounding on Saturday after emergency services were called to Remembrance Drive at approximately 6.15am, following reports a 20-year-old man had sustained a wound to the stomach.

Upon arrival, police located two 20-year-old Toowoomba men with stab wounds.

Both were transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital for treatment, where one remains in a serious but stable condition.

A 17-year-old Richlands male and 16-year-old Pallara male have been charged with one count each of acts intending to disable.

Both were refused police bail and appeared at Brisbane Children’s Court on Wednesday.

Witnesses or anyone with relevant information are urged to contact police. Investigations are continuing.
