A man has been flown to hospital after being mauled by a shark off a popular tourist island in Queensland.
The 29-year-old was bitten by a shark in waters near The Wrecks Walking Track on Moreton Island, north of Brisbane, on Saturday afternoon.
Emergency services arrived at the scene just after 3pm, treating him for abdominal injuries and lacerations to his leg.

Tangalooma Island Resort director, David James told the ABC that the incident “appears to be a minor bite” and he expects the man to make a full recovery soon.
“That’s the best outcome possible with any of these sort of incidents happening.”
The Moreton Island attack is the fourth incident to rock Queensland this year.
Charlize Zmuda, 17, was killed by a shark off Bribie Island, also north of Brisbane, earlier this month.
Zmuda started as a Bribie Island nipper from the age of eight, was vice captain of her patrol, and competed with the local IRB team in the Lifesaving World Championships.
Family and friends gathered on the beach to watch the sunrise earlier this month to say goodbye to Charlize.
“She was a free spirit who was truly gifted musically … as well as having the voice of an angel,” her mother said.
“She loved 4WDing up the beach and anyone who went with her knew they would have to stop and pick up every piece of rubbish she saw along the way.
“We are truly grateful for the outpouring of love and support from the community.
“Please focus on the incredible life she lived and not the awful way she died.”

Charlize’s uncle, who joined the grieving family on the beach earlier this month to pay tribute, told 7NEWS his niece had swum at the beach every day.
She was a surf lifesaver and deeply familiar with the waters there, he said, adding she had just attended her school formal on Friday.
Bribie Island local Christopher Potter said he and the tight-knit community have been rattled by the incident.
“It’s absolutely shocking. It’s very disturbing to see,” he told 7NEWS.
“We all love the beach, we all love to go for a late afternoon dip around here — to hear about this, yeah, it’s sent shock waves through everyone.”
