A 15-year-old boy has been arrested after allegedly crashing his mother’s car into a tobacconist in Brisbane.

The white Hyundai SUV smashed over a guard rail before becoming airborne and smashing into the front of the shop in Mount Gravatt just before 6am on Wednesday.

The teenager was arrested by police and taken to Queensland Children’s Hospital for blood tests.

The crash caused thousands of dollars in damages to the shop and a huge clean-up job for the business owner.
