A woman has been charged with the murder of a mother and two children following a tragic house fire in Toolooa, Queensland.

Jordana Johnson, 36, her 12-year-old son Jordan Norris and his friend Chazz Mather, also 12, were inside the two-storey home on Whiting Street when it became engulfed in flames just before 6am on October 15.

Fire crews battled the blaze for nearly two hours before it could be extinguished.

After a week-long investigation, police charged a 37-year-old Toolooa woman with three counts of murder and two counts of arson.

She is expected to face a bedside hearing on Friday.

In the wake of the tragedy, a fundraiser has been launched by a relative of Ms Johnson to support the two families “who lost everything”.

“Three beautiful souls taken too soon. Jordana Johnson, a loving mother who tragically lost her life alongside her beloved son, Jordan Norris and his best mate Chazz Mather, who were inseparable,” a statement on GoFundMe reads.

The emotional tribute describes Ms Johnson as a “devoted mother with a big heart” whose children were her world.

Jordan has been remembered as a “playful, fun and cheeky kid” who was fiercely protective of his sisters, mother and friends.

Chazz was described as an “outgoing, loving soul with a cheeky attitude” who always looked out for those he cared about.

Adriana Johnson, who launched the fundraiser, said the fire had shattered not only two families but the entire community.

“The family want to thank the community and the outpouring of support we have received around the country who have expressed their condolences, love and support during this time,” she said.

“The donations received will go directly to Jordana’s two daughters to start over who lost everything of their mother’s home and Chazz’s mother and 7 siblings as both families navigate and rebuild after such a devastating loss.”

At the time of reporting, $32,838 has been raised from over 300 donations.

Police are expected to provide another update on Friday afternoon.
