Warwick: Man and two dogs perish in Queensland house fire

Fire rescue crews have tried in vain to rescue a man and his two dogs before they perished in a house fire in Queensland.

Police are investigating the fatal house fire that occurred in Warwick on Monday.

At around 9.45pm, emergency services responded to Pratten Street, following reports of a house on fire.

The fire was contained and an initial search of the house located a 20-year-old man deceased inside.

Two dogs have also been reported to have died as a result of the fire.

A crime scene has been declared and investigations into the cause of the fire are underway.
