Two teenage boys have been charged over the brutal alleged stabbing murder of a skincare entrepreneur’s husband in the front yard of their luxury home.

Zdravko Bilic, 57, died on Monday after he was found with multiple stab wounds to his abdomen at the home in Warana, Queensland.

He was married to skincare entrepreneur Gry Susann Tomte who is understood to have been interstate at the time of the incident and became concerned about Mr Bilic’s welfare before asking a neighbour to check on him.

Emergency services were called to a Napalle Street address around 7.35pm after a neighbour found him unresponsive in his front yard.

He was declared deceased at the scene.

“Following extensive investigations, police will allege a disturbance occurred at the address, resulting in the 57-year-old man sustaining fatal stab wounds,” a police statement read.

Sunshine Coast detectives have charged a 15-year-old West Woombye boy and a 17-year-old Beerwah boy with murder.

Mr Bilic and Ms Tomte purchased their five-bedroom, three-bathroom property in 2022 for $2.5 million, after relocating from Melbourne in 2022.

“I had the pleasure of calling Melbourne home for almost half my life,” Mr Bilic, who is known as Zed, posted on Instagram about the move.

“So many fantastic memories with beautiful family and friends at some great events and places.”

“The most important thing that Melbourne gave me is my wonderful wife. We are super excited with our new adventure.”

Ms Tomte paid tribute to her husband in an Instagram story on Thursday, writing: “There is no way I can capture the immense grief of losing the most beautiful man. My world for 28 years. the man who was so much more than ‘the beauty mogul’s husband’. He was my everything.”

The pair’s upscale two-storey home sits in a tightly held pocket of Warana, one of the Sunshine Coast’s most sought-after beachside suburbs, known for its multi million-dollar homes.

Ms Tomte is the founder of Melbourne-based skincare clinic HUD Skin and Body, which has locations in St Kilda and Northcote.

She has previously spoken publicly about her struggles with acne, her Norwegian background, and her experience navigating small business through COVID-19 lockdowns.

Described as a self-made entrepreneur, she has built a successful brand with a loyal clientele and multiple industry awards. She was scheduled to appear as a speaker at the Brisbane Aesthetic Summit next week.

Posts on the couple’s social media accounts show their shared love of travel, their dog on the nearby beach, and overseas trips to New York and Europe.

The teenage boys charged with Mr Bilic’s murder are due to appear at Maroochydore Childrens Court today, 17 July.
