A group of Australian tradies have stripped down with a clear message, they are “hard men raising awareness for mental health”.

The men from Conseq Conrete on the Gold Coast are releasing the 2025 Sexy Concreters Calendar, raising money for the not-for-profit group LIVIN.

“These blokes might not be polished, but they sure know how to lay it on thick,” the calendar description says.

“These fellas are the real deal. They might have traded chiselled abs for a sloppy rig, but nothing is sexier than a bloke who knows how to handle an Icebreaker and a ciggie.”

Each month, owners of the unique Australian creation will be treated to an image of hardworking Aussie tradies in various positions, working hard, or hardly working while they enjoy smoko.

The idea was inspired my a mate going through a tough time, says Conseq director Jesse Stenroos.

“My mate is going through his own mental health struggles at the moment and it’s a massive issue around the world so we just wanted to bring some awareness to it,” he told the Gold Coast Bulletin.

“We all banded together — my wife actually brought the idea up.

“We wanted to bring some light to it and hopefully make some people smile.”

Conseq machine operator Hayden Carter, soon to be known to Australia by the name Mr August, didn’t think he was destined for a modelling career, however, was happy to strip off and pose in the interest of helping others.

“Us being uncomfortable for five minutes goes a long way for the cause, so happy to do it,” he said.

“We’re just tradies, we’re not used to being in the spotlight.

“But it was a good laugh.”

Fun aside, Mr Carter (AKA Mr August), understands that being a tradie is more than being big.

“I’m used to being around big tough men and with tradies we’re up earlier and out late doing the big jobs, but it doesn’t matter how big you are, (mental health) will bring the biggest guy down to their knees.”

Well, without further delay, let’s meet the men of the 2025 Sexy Concreters Calendar.
