Teen driver charged over alleged burnout crash which injured onlookers in Abermain, NSW

A teen driver is facing six charges over an alleged burnout gone horribly wrong in front of a crowd of onlookers on Bromage Rd at Abermain, near Cessnock in NSW’s Hunter Valley, just after midnight on Sunday
He allegedly lost control while performing the manoeuvre and hit two parked vehicles, one of which then smashed into six of the onlookers, which included two children, all of who were injured upon impact, NSW Police said.
The 18-year-old driver’s 2003-model blue Subaru Liberty AWD sedan allegedly hit another sedan and an SUV, with the SUV then making impact with the group of people, police said.

The driver, who was also hospitalised with facial injuries, has been arrested and charged following his discharge on Monday.
An eight-year-old girl remains in hospital with suspected internal injuries.
A 25-year-old woman and a 31-year-old woman also remain in hospital, with the older woman being treated for a head injury.
A 24-year-old man was remains in hospital with a fractured leg.
A 10-year-old girl who was treated for minor injuries has since been released from hospital.
And a 25-year-old man was treated for a foot injury and has also been released from hospital.
The 18-year-old driver has since had his license suspended, and has been charged over the incident.
He has been charged with two counts of causing bodily harm by misconduct, in charge of motor vehicle, and one count each of dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm — drive manner dangerous, and drive recklessly/furiously or speed/manner dangerous.
He was also charged over noncompliance regarding his seatbelt and tyres.
The young man was bailed to visit Kurri Kurri Local Court on April 29.
