A popular snack sold at Coles Supermarkets nationally have been recalled over fears it may cause injury.

A snack sold at Coles supermarkets nationally and online has been recalled over fears it could cause injury.

Smartfoods Limited recalled Tom and Luke Low Carb Snackballs in hazelnut and raspberry flavours after plastic was detected inside the packaging.

Food Standards Australia and New Zealand warned food products containing plastic may cause illness or injury if consumed.

The recall affects 112g packets of the snacks with dates marked, September 3, 11 and 15 2026, as well as October 16 2026.

Consumers were advised not to eat the products and to return them to Coles for a full refund.

“Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice,” the warning read.

The product is sold in stores across Australia and online.
