Epping: One person confirmed dead after two cars collide in horrific crash in Victoria

Emergency services have faced a horrific crash scene after two cars collided and a person was pronounced dead.

Major collision investigation unit detectives are investigating a fatal collision in Epping last night.

Emergency services were called to reports that a white SUV had collided with a silver hatchback at the intersection of Cooper Steet and Edgars roads about 11.15pm.

The driver of the hatchback, who is yet to be formally identified, died at the scene.

The driver of the SUV was taken to hospital, with non-life-threatening injuries, accompanied by police and will be interviewed.

The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be determined and investigations remain ongoing.
