Fitzroy shooting: Manhunt after victim shot dead in Melbourne
A deadly shooting has taken place in Melbourne’s inner north on Saturday.
Gunshots rang out in Fitzroy just after midnight, before a seriously injured man was found near the intersection of Brunswick St and King William St.

He died of his gunshot wounds, and is yet to be formally identified.
The gunman is understood to have fled in a vehicle before emergency services arrived, Victoria Police said.
Authorities are at this stage unclear if there was more than one offender involved.
A manhunt has been launched for those responsible for the attack, as investigations into the incident continue.
No arrests have been made at this stage.
Detectives are also now focusing their attention on a nearby parked car with a smashed windscreen.
It was found peppered with bullets just metres from the local Catholic primary school, Fitzroy Sacred Heart School, Sunrise reports.
