Footscray: Man arrested after stolen truck crashes into car killing driver in Victoria

Emergency services have dealt with a terrible scene after an alleged stolen vehicle ploughed into a car killing the driver in Victoria.

A man has been arrested following the fatal collision in Footscray on Monday morning.

It is understood a white Nissan truck, believed to have been stolen, collided with a car on Ballarat Road at about 4.30am.

Police have confirmed that the yet-to-be-identified driver of the car died at the scene.

The driver of the truck, a 40-year-old Deer Park man, was arrested at the scene.

The man has been taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Major collision investigation unit detectives are investigating the circumstances of the collision.
