“He was a friendly giant - he was doing what adults do on a Saturday night out with mates in a nightclub in Geelong,” Dolling said.

“(There’s) been an argument that has broken out between his group of friends and another group outside a nightclub.

“Jayme was stabbed at least once in the upper body. He was rushed to the Geelong Hospital where he sadly died.

“Now, there were two other people, who actually self-presented at that hospital a little later in the morning, on Sunday.

“Police won’t confirm whether they are, indeed, suspects. They say that they have been questioned.

“They also haven’t said whether they’re actually looking for anybody else now in relates to this murder investigation.

“However, this is just another dramatic and a very tragic escalation of knife crime here in Victoria.”
