Man killed in motorcycle and car crash on busy Melbourne CBD intersection between Flinders and Exhibition streets
A man has been killed in a shocking crash on a busy street in Melbourne’s CBD.
The man’s motorcycle collided with a car near the intersection of Flinders St and Exhibition St just before 11am on Friday.
Members of the public rushed to help and performed CPR on the male rider until emergency services arrived.

The driver of the car stopped after the crash and police are yet to determine exactly how the crash happened.
The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is urged to contact police.
The intersection of Flinders St, Batman Ave and Olympic Blvd is closed to traffic and trams in all directions and Trams on routes 70 and 75 are diverting via La Trobe St.
Flinders St is also closed in both directions between Russell and Spring streets, Batman Ave is closed between Olympic Blvd and Flinders St and Exhibition St is closed between Collins and Flinders streets.
Drivers are urged to detour wide to avoid congestion near the closures.
Alternative routes include Collins St, Wellington Pde and Punt Rd.
Commuters should consider using City Loop trains for travel around the CBD.
