Keith Urban is reportedly breathing a little easier after ex-wife Nicole Kidman seemingly found love again following the end of their 19-year marriage.

The country music star is said to have carried considerable guilt over the couple’s split after reportedly being the one who wanted to end the relationship.

“Keith was the one who wanted out of the marriage, and he felt guilty about hurting Nicole,” a source told the Daily Mail, adding that Urban is “relieved that she’s moved on” and that there is “no jealousy” surrounding Kidman’s reported new romance with businessman Michael Reinstein.

Urban and Kidman’s marriage came to an end in September 2025 after almost two decades together, with reports suggesting the pair had quietly separated earlier in the year.

Kidman was reportedly keen to save the marriage, but Urban had already moved out of the family’s Nashville home, where the couple had lived with daughters Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret.

Kidman filed for divorce one day after news of their separation became public, citing irreconcilable differences. The divorce was finalised in January.

Now, months after the split became official, Kidman appears to have turned the page.

The Australian actress has been spotted spending time with Reinstein during a European getaway, with the pair appearing close during several outings.

They were photographed deep in conversation outside Kidman’s hotel in Portofino, Italy, where they shared a lingering farewell on the patio of her suite.

The pair were later spotted relaxing beside the pool at the Belmond Splendido Hotel, sipping Aperol Spritzes and chatting together.

During the outing, Reinstein was seen reaching across to adjust Kidman’s wide-brimmed hat, apparently allowing him a better view of her face.

Their time together has seemingly extended beyond Europe, with Reinstein later spotted collecting Kidman from an airport in Los Angeles before the pair drove away together in his Ferrari.

Urban, meanwhile, has been at the centre of his own dating speculation since the marriage breakdown.

The singer was previously linked to country artist Karley Scott Collins, who supported him on his High and Alive World Tour last year.

Collins swiftly shut down speculation that the pair were romantically involved — including claims they were living together.

Sharing a screenshot of an article speculating about their relationship, she wrote: “Yall, this is absolutely RIDICULOUS and untrue.”

Urban also found himself linked to guitarist Maggie Baugh after footage of a seemingly flirty interaction between the pair resurfaced following his split from Kidman.

During an April 2025 performance at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Urban performed his 2016 song The Fighter alongside Baugh.

Fans later zeroed in on the moment Urban sang, “I was born to love you,” while appearing to point and look directly towards the guitarist. The pair also embraced after the performance.

Baugh’s father later poured cold water on the speculation.

“I don’t know anything about it, other than she’s a guitar player for him,” he told the Daily Mail.

“It’s more of a musician thing than a dating thing,” he added, while admitting he had “not heard one way or the other”.

For Urban, however, reports that Kidman has now moved forward with her own life appear to have brought some closure after their high-profile marriage came to an end.
