San Remo: Woman drowns, man missing after being swept off rocks in Victoria
A frantic search is under way after a woman drowned and a man disappeared after being swept off rocks at a popular beach.
Emergency services were called to a beach off Punch Bowl Road at San Remon in Victoria at about 8.30am on Friday after reports two women and a man had been washed off rocks and were in the water.
One of the women was able to to make her way to safety by swimming back to shore but the other woman and the man were unable to make it back to the rocks or shoreline.

She was brought back to shore but could not be revived.
The search for the man continues and police will prepare a report for the Coroner.
