Three boys hospitalised after suspected stabbing at Westfield Doncaster, Melbourne

Three boys have been taken to hospital following a suspected stabbing at a major shopping centre in Melbourne’s northeast.

A fight broke out between a group of young people at Westfield Doncaster and police were called in about 5.30pm Friday, police said.

Officers arrived to find three injured boys.

“One of the boys suffered a suspected stab wound to the upper body, another had a laceration to the back and the third a laceration to the arm,” police said.

Two were taken to the Royal Children’s Hospital with upper body injuries in serious but stable conditions, a Victorian Ambulance spokesperson said.

The third was taken to Box Hill Hospital in a stable condition.

Witnesses reported a fight breaking out in the shopping centre’s food court.

Six teenage boys have been arrested.

Investigations continue.
