Three teenage boys arrested after allegedly pointing imitation guns at people inside shopping centre in Somerville, Victoria

Three teenage boys have wreaked havoc at a shopping centre on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula, allegedly pointing imitation guns at shoppers.
Police say the boys allegedly stole the imitation handguns from a store in Somerville Central Shopping Centre on Eramosa Rd about 10.40am on Thursday.
It is alleged the boys then pointed the guns at shoppers in the centre, with one photo posted online showing a teenager pointing the fake weapon at a woman holding a baby.

A 14-year-old boy and 16-year-old boy were charged with possess imitation firearm, affray and theft.
They were bailed to appear before a children’s court at a later date, according to police
A 13-year-old boy was released without charges.
“Mornington Peninsula Crime Investigation Unit detectives will continue to make enquiries into the incident and are appealing for any eyewitnesses to come forward,” Victoria Police said.
