AirAsia flight circles Rottnest Island after experiencing ‘engine issues’ during take-off from Perth Airport

An AirAsia flight from Perth to Bali has been forced to circle around Rottnest Island after experiencing engine issues’ during take-off.

An AirAsia flight from Perth to Bali has been forced to circle around Rottnest Island after experiencing “engine issues” during take-off.

Flight QZ545 — which departed Perth for Denpasar about 6.30pm on Sunday — diverted across the Indian Ocean before circling Rottnest Island and returning to the airport about an hour later.

“Passengers were rescheduled onto flights this morning at 3.30am and 6.30am,” a Perth Airport spokesperson said.
