A young boy has been critically injured in a head-on crash allegedly involving a driver fleeing from police in Perth’s southern suburbs.

The 10-year-old child was a passenger in a Ford Falcon that officers allege sped from them when they attempted a routine traffic stop on Duckpond Rd in Baldivis about 6pm on Sunday.

“The accused turned right onto Mundijong Rd where the vehicle collided head-on with a white Mitsubishi Utility,” WA Police said.
