Mettams Pool cordoned off by police after reports of missing diver
Police have swarmed Mettams Pool following reports of a missing diver.
A major response by police and paramedics has been underway at the popular beach, in the suburb of North Beach, since Tuesday morning.
The RAC rescue chopper was observed flying in the area while water police were also at the scene.

Lifeguards were seen speaking with detectives on the water’s edge and a water police boat remained in the water around the same time.
A witness told The West Australian he saw scuba gear lying at the water’s edge.
Another witness, who was working at a nearby construction site, said he saw two people in scuba gear enter the water before police rushed to the area less than an hour later.
The condition and whereabouts of the diver at the centre of the search remains unknown.
A St John WA spokeswoman confirmed they were also responding.
