Woman found dead on Mossman road: Police investigate possible hit-and-run, police say
A woman found dead on a far north Queensland road is believed to be the victim of a potential hit-and-run.
The 37-year-old woman was found lying on Junction Rd at Mossman, north of Cairns, by a driver at about 6.30pm on Thursday.
She was declared dead at the scene.

That vehicle “has failed to remain at the scene”, police said.
The driver has been asked to come forward.
Anyone who was travelling in the area between 6.15pm and 6.40pm is also asked to contact police.
