Woman shot in stomach with nail gun in likely Gold Coast home accident
A woman has been shot in the stomach with a nail gun in a possible DIY accident on the Gold Coast.
The woman, whose age was unknown, was rushed to Gold Coast University Hospital with what paramedics described as a “penetrating abdominal wound following an incident with a nail gun” about 7.45am on Tuesday.
Paramedics were called to treat the woman on the Pacific Mwy at Pimpama.

By continuing you agree to our Terms and Privacy Policy.However, she had sustained the injury elsewhere before attempting to drive herself to hospital, when she pulled over on the highway to call emergency services, according to the Gold Coast Bulletin.
It’s understood the incident may have occurred at a home.
Workplace safety officials have not been notified of the incident, while police were made aware but are not treating the wounding as suspicious and have declined to launch an investigation.
The woman’s condition was described as stable.
