Amanda Seyfried secretly splits from husband Thomas Sadoski after nine years of marriage
The couple reportedly revealed the end of their nine-year marriage in a statement to US media.
Amanda Seyfried and her husband Thomas Sadoski have announced the end of their marriage after nine years.
On Tuesday the pair released a statement to People revealing their separation.
“We have been separated for a while, and it’s proven to be the right move for us and our family unit. We’ve got each other forever—and it’s GOOD,” the joint statement read.

That same year, 2016, marked their engagement and a year later the pair were married in March, 2017.
“We eloped. We just took off into the country with an officiant and, just the two of us, and we did our thing,” according to Sadoski. “It was beautiful. It was everything that it should be. It was just the two of us talking to each other.”
Seyfried gave birth to their first child Nina, just days after the wedding, and their son Thomas Jr, was born in September 2020.
The pair settled on a farm in upstate New York, with Seyfried sometimes sharing posts about their lives together.
Seyfried and Sadoski have appeared to have shown considerable support for each other’s showbusiness careers.
Seyfried, who has enjoyed a busy 2026 with big screen roles in The Testament of Ann Lee and The Housemaid, told Vogue in January 2026 how her husband “sacrifices a lot for me”.
The resurgent Mean Girls actress also endured significant controversy in 2025, revealing this year that she was forced to hire a bodyguard after Charlie Kirk’s death after her previous public comments about one of his videos resurfaced on social media.
“He was hateful,” she wrote at the time.
Her comment was unfortunately interpreted as a response to his murder, forcing her to clarify that “I can get angry about misogyny and racist rhetoric and ALSO very much agree that Charlie Kirk’s murder was absolutely disturbing and deplorable in every way imaginable.”
She told British GQ in June 2026 that the situation escalated online to the point she had to hire security.
“So I’m like, ‘What do I do? What do I say?’ And then all of a sudden I find myself with a f**king bodyguard at the airport and I’m like, ‘This is crazy.’”
